In a previous post, we discussed an upcoming Lamborghini model called the Centenario being put together to celebrate what would have been the 100th birthday of brand founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, and earlier this month we were given our first look at the landmark supercar. It’s not an understatement to say that this is one of the most interesting automobiles the marque has ever manufactured. It truly is that good.
The most show-stopping feature of the Centenario is its power output, which is expected to reach as high as 760 horsepower. There aren’t a lot of vehicles on the face of the planet that offer that much muscle, including a lot of other vehicles currently available at your Lamborghini dealer, all of which makes this particular model so exciting.
Those numbers, in case our readers were wondering, allow the vehicle to tear from zero-to-62 mph in only 2.8 seconds with a top speed of at least 217 mph. The Lamborghini Aventador (700 hp) and Aventador SV (750 hp) can’t even hang with an engine like that, so we’d be completely understanding if Lamborghini enthusiasts were experiencing a little bit of envy for those lucky few buyers that end up with one of these.
The Centenario also features carbon-ceramic brakes and special dampers, plus a four-wheel steering system to assist in properly controlling the car. Aesthetically, it’s gorgeous, with an all-new aggressive design featuring a super sleek profile, but we should probably mention at this point that only 40 examples of this vehicle will be made available worldwide, and all of them already have been sold for about $1.9 million a pop.
That shouldn’t stop fans from dreaming on, because this is about as dreamy as a car gets.
