Tech Used in Luxury and Sports Vehicles
customized rolls royce

Any Longwood consumer who knows anything about cars understands that Rolls-Royce is one of the most storied auto brands on the face of the planet, not only because it puts up some of the most beautiful, classy. and luxurious models on the face of the planet, but because it’s been doing that for almost ninety years.

The brand’s most recent history is pretty storied, too, though, as the Rolls-Royce London showroom recently put out a series of “Did-You-Know” facts that prove just how unique a brand they really are.

Put as simply as possible, there really is no automaker on the face of the planet quite so concerned about customization as Rolls-Royce, as some of these little anecdotes prove:

  • One of the most outrageous bespoke requests came from a man who wanted a pink leather interior set to match a pink Rolls-Royce t-shirt he bought while in the showroom.
  • The youngest buyer to ever actually come into the showroom and sign for a new model was only 21 years old, but the youngest person to ever order a Rolls-Royce was a 12-year-old boy from Taiwan. There are plenty of kids who would love a Rolls-Royce Phantom in Florida, all of whom are likely wishing they were that particular Taiwanese tyke.
  • One customer once requested a compartment for his tea thermos built into the door, and not only did Rolls-Royce comply, but they also built an identical one just to crash test so the automaker could ensure that the tea thermos didn’t come loose during the unlikely event of an accident.
